Gent is the capital of East Flanders is a province in western Belgium .Population in 2008 was measured at over 230 000 and counting suburbs will figure out the approx.500 000.Gent is associated with, among other things, the North Sea and the large port Zeebrugge via channels. These channels have led to that Gent has an important port, is actually the third largest in the country.
