Rochefort is a small town located in the province of Namur in the southeastern part of Belgium .The city of Namur is located about 50 km in a northwesterly direction for Rochefort. In 2006 the population estimated to be slightly above 12 000.The river Lesse is a pier from the great river Meuse and runs equally through Rochefort.
Rochefort has many hotels and restaurants and is thus a perfect base for those wishing to experience the region of Ardennes. In the town stands an old castle dating from the early Middle Ages, and which served as a fortress until the 1600s. The most famous attraction of Rochefort is the many caves that have been named Lorette. Yet in the neighboring town of Han-sur-Lesse that they really knew the caves are located, and who should pay a visit in addition to Lorette caves.
To arrive at Rochefort by plane can Airport Brussels South Charleroi Airport to be an option.The airport is located approx. 1 hour drive northwest of Rochefort.
