3.13 million passengers visited Sofia Airport in 2009 and is the largest airport in Bulgaria. The airport is headquarters for Bulgaria Air, Wizz Air and BH Air. In 2006 the airport was renovated and a new terminal 2 was completed next to the old. Terminal 1 is now used only for low cost and charter flights.
The airport has a good selection of snack bars and cafes and a restaurant called Da Vinci. There is a toy shop and one for souvenirs from Bulgaria, in Terminal 2 there is a large duty free shop. Other amenities include banking, wireless internet, first and business center. There is also a terrace where one can enjoy the view. There are no hotels at the airport.
