Santa Fe de Bogota is the capital of Colombia , situated on the northern part of Latin America.The capital is situated on a plateau in the middle of the country and is the third highest capital city in the world. Founded in the 1500s and there are several historic buildings worth a visit. Plaza de Bolivar is the most central square in Bogota and is located in the historic district of La Candelaria. You can also see the beautiful cathedral that was built in the 1500s. It offers a variety of museums, including Museum of Art Museo de Arte del Banco de la Republica and the Museo del Oro which contains the world's most important collection of historical gold objects. For some fresh air, you can head to the botanical garden Jardin Botánico de Bogotá.
