Holbæk is at Isefjorden northwest of the island of Zealand, specifically in Region Sjælland - 60 km west of Copenhagen .The town has 26,600 inhabitants, while the whole municipality of Holbæk has nearly 70,000 inhabitants.
Holbæk is a modern city and an important trading center on Zealand. The city has a beautiful harbor, great shopping, lots of nice cafes - as well as ferry connections to the idyllic island of Oro. It is also good bus and train to Roskilde and Copenhagen.
The most visited attractions in the city is Holbæk Museum - with 13 historic buildings and an archaeological collection, Tveje Merløse Church from the 1100s, the proportion of village Nyvang with its open air museum, the Art Society Æglageret (with changing exhibitions), and Beach Park from 1898 filed in Romantic garden style - with many exotic trees and shrubs.
It is also good for swimming in summer, and the city have both golf and go-kart track. In winter you can use the ice rink "ice roses".
Nearest airport is Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup .
