Næstved is a medium sized city (41,717 inhabitants in 2009) which is located south of Sealand - and administratively belongs to it as the Region of Zealand. Its location at the end of Susåen is idyllic.

Næstved has had town rights since 1140 - and was before the Reformation, an important klosterby. An example is the old Skovklosteret, which was established by the Benedictines around the time when the city was founded. After the Reformation, this monastery converted into a boarding school Herlufsholm. It is still in business - and today Naestved most famous attraction.
