Albi is a town in southern France .The city is about. 70 km northeast of Toulouse, on the River Tarn. Approx. 66,000 inhabitants live in Albi.
The city is perhaps best known as the artist Toulouse-Lautrec's birthplace. In the Museum Toulouse-Lautrec, visitors can see more than 1,000 works by the artist, who is one of France's most popular painters. Albi is also a famous Gothic Cathedral, Sainte-Cécile, built in the period 1282 to 1390 It is 113 meters long, 35 feet wide and 40 meters high. The bell tower is 78 meters high.
