Angers is a city in northern France , ca. 90 kilometers southeast of Nantes and 300 kilometers southwest of Paris .Angers is located on the River Maine, eight miles from the river's outlet in the Loire. Stay around. 156,000 inhabitants in the city, 230,000 including suburbs.
Angers is rich in history. In a byborg from the Middle Ages with 17 towers, it is a 100 meter long famous tapestry depicting the Apocalypse. The city also has a beautiful Gothic cathedral. There are several museums in the city including the Museum of Fine Arts, Musée des beaux arts d'Angers. The former Barrault-residence from the 1500s, the house has an art collection with paintings by, among others Chardin, Watteau and Boucher, since 1796. In Angers is also 13 monasteries, of which David d'Angers is the largest. In this monastery there are a number of works in marble and bronze statues. The city also has a museum of flyentusiaster. Angers also has several cinemas and has a good nightlife.
