In France, the east of the Dijon, which is the main town in the department of Côte-d'Or.The city belongs to Burgundy region, and has about. 155,400 inhabitants. Dijon was founded in 1722, and has many tourist attractions - especially in architecture, history, culture and nature. Palais des Ducs, one of the city's most famous buildings - the palace where the oldest parts are from 1300 - / 1400's. Both Hall and Art Museum "Musée des Beaux Arts" is located here. Another famous building is the church of Notre Dame from 1220-century in Gothic style - one of the largest and most beautiful churches in the city. On top of the church, one can see the church bell from 1382, still a landmark of Dijon.
The city also has other tourist attractions - including an archaeological museum, a botanical garden, a planetarium, a natural history museum and many beautiful parks and squares. In addition, the opera, theaters and cinemas as well as good restaurants and nice little cafes.
