Marburg miniguide
Marburg is located in the central German state of Hesse - at the river Lahn - and has about 80,000 inhabitants (2009). It is the country's four major university towns. "Philippe-University" is the oldest Protestant university in the world and was founded in 1527.

The castle "Marburger Schloss" - located on a hill above the town - is perhaps the biggest point of interest.
