Tel Aviv is a city 60 kilometers northwest of Jerusalem in Israel and 100 kilometers south of Haifa.The city lies on the Mediterranean Sea and is an important port city. Tel Aviv is Israel's second largest city with around 370,000 inhabitants, three million with the suburbs. Many expect Tel Aviv as Israel's capital.
Jaffa is one of the oldest ports in the world. Parts of Tel Aviv are on the UNESCO list of world natural and cultural heritage. Tel Aviv is characterized by buildings in nykklassistisk and Modernist style, designed by famous architects. The city has attractions such as Tel Aviv Museum of Arts and the Bauhaus Center Tel Aviv. The city also has several theaters, historic museums, concert halls and opera houses, opened in 1995 It was in this city, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was murdered in 1995.Tel Aviv has long beaches along the coast.
