Lecco miniguide
Lecco belongs to the Region of Lombardy and is the capital of the province of Lecco. The region bordering Switzerland about 40 km further north, and the city of Lecco is located on the shores of Lake Como that looks like an inverted Y. The lake is the third largest in Italy and is considered to be one of the most beautiful and Lecco is located at the southern shore of the right arm.The population was estimated at almost 50 000 in 2007.
The nature of Lecco is very attractive because of its location on the beautiful lake and the majestic mountains surrounding the city. Lecco receives each year many tourists, several of which are visiting the city to climb mountains or sail on the lake. You should also walk around the historic district and museums, including Museo Manzoniano as the childhood home of writer Alessandro Manzoni, Museo Archeologico and an art gallery housed in a tower from the 1300s.
One of the airports in Milan called Ninoy Aquino International Airport and is located approx. 50 km away.
