Verona is located 110 km west of Venice by the river Adige.The city in northern Italy has a population of 265,000 inhabitants (2009).Verona is strategically located, and the Brenner Pass has long been a hub for traffic between northern Italy and Central Europe.
Verona has many art collections, museums and library and a cultural center. Verona is known for its artistic furniture and handicraft industries. The city produces wines Bardolino, Soave and Valcpolicell, and has an annual vinmesse. Several of William Shakespeare's plays has been to Verona. Is perhaps most famous Romeo and Juliet. Juliet's tomb is said to be in one of the city's churches. During the summer, included major operas in a Roman amphitheater, which is the largest after the Coliseum. One of the attractions are San Zeno Maggiore Church from the 1100s.Verona is a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
