Haugesund is located in Rogaland county on the southwest coast of Norway .The city has about 34,000 inhabitants (2010), and most important industries are fishing, shipping and industry. Haugesund is a major trading center for the northern part of Rogaland, and from the harbor, the ferry connection to a host of other places in the county – including Stavanger .
