I will definitely book here again. The customer representatives in Gran Canaria were friendly. No fuel rip off when renting through Europcar.

We rented a car at Franfurt Airport through Europcar. The process of getting the car was quick and easy. The price was much lower than booking directly through Europcar.

The rates are similar to that of other websites, however we prefer renting on this website as we can choose which company to hire from ourselves.

Car rental Stade

Stade is situated in the northern German state of Lower Saxony – approx. 50 km west of Hamburg – and has approx.46,000 inhabitants (2008). River Schwing, which is a tributary of the Elbe, flows through the city. Stade is known since the 800’s and possibly North Germany’s oldest city.It acquired city rights in 1209 – and was at that time a member of the influential Hanseatic League. In the first part of the 1600s the city was alternately in Danish and Swedish hands – and in the period 1645-1719 was still a Swedish city.

Among the architectural gems in the old town center (Altstadt), we find the two medieval churches (with later extensions) St. Cosmae and St. Wilhedi. Moreover, the Altstadt in itself an attraction, where such half-timbered houses in the old Hanseatic port provides a comprehensive, historical buildings.

It is all an interesting feature of the cityscape that the various historical eras can “read” in architecture. Thus, we are today – in addition to “Hansestadt” – also experience such “Swedish Town” and “Baroque City” Stade. And yet there remains of the ancient fortresses as the Swedes built in the middle of the 1600s.

Nearest international airport is Hamburg Airport, located approx. 64 km east / northeast of Stade.
