I will definitely book here again. The customer representatives in Gran Canaria were friendly. No fuel rip off when renting through Europcar.

We rented a car at Franfurt Airport through Europcar. The process of getting the car was quick and easy. The price was much lower than booking directly through Europcar.

The rates are similar to that of other websites, however we prefer renting on this website as we can choose which company to hire from ourselves.

Ioannina is located in the northwestern corner of Greece – and is the capital of the administrative district (prefecture) Ípiros. The town has approx. 70,000 inhabitants and has an idyllic location at the Great Lake Pamvotis.

Ioannina was founded by the Romans in the 500’s ADKr. – But it found traces in which the city is the very old settlements (from the paleolitiske period around 38,000 years ago). Much of Ioannina was destroyed in a major fire in 1864, but was quickly rebuilt. However, this has meant that much of the buildings are of recent date.

There are still a number of preserved historical monuments – including An interesting fort area from the Middle Ages, located in the center. Part of this complex is the so-called “Citadel”, where you can visit the famous Albanian rebel leader Ali Pasha Mausoleum. The city’s main attraction is still NOK Ioánnini Island (or “Nisaki”, as it is called) in Pamvoti Lake. Dit you come by ferry, and the crossing takes 15 minutes. The island offers no less than 7 monasteries from the Middle Ages, many with beautiful Byzantine decoration.

Nearest Airport – Ioánnini National Airport – located just outside the center.
