Nelspruit is situated in the eastern part of South Africa, specifically in the province of Mpumalanga, and has approximately 220,000 inhabitants.The town lies in a fertile area on the border river Limpopo between South Africa and Botswana, which is also the border between South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Nelspruit is a major trading center for the province and the city is the shopping center “River Mall” – with over 140 shops and restaurants. The city also has a casino, cinemas, golf courses and a beautiful botanical garden.
The world-famous tourist attraction of the Kruger National Park is located north of Nelspruit and offers beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos.You can choose to drive themselves into the national park, or join a guided safari tour. It is also possible to stay in the area when the park has several cottages and bungalows.
8 km north of the city are Mbombela Stadium – built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.Stadium seats 40,000 spectators throughout.
