Tarragona is the capital of the province of the same name located in northeastern Spain and belongs to the region of Catalonia.The city is a port city on the Mediterranean Sea from which exported agricultural products. The popular city of Barcelona lies only 100 km north of Tarragona, while the country’s capital Madrid is a total of 550 km west of the Mediterranean coast.Tarragona is situated on the banks of the River Francolí and has a population of approx. 155000 (2009).
