Side belongs to the province of Antalya and is located on the southwest coast of Turkey .The city is located on a small peninsula which is 1 km long and 400 feet wide and bounded by the Mediterranean Sea. Superb location midway between the two popular resort towns of Antalya and Alanya, which is about 70 km from each city.Side was a Greek port city in ancient times and today is the population of around 15 000 (2005).
In the 1980s, grew Side from a fishing village to a beautiful tourist town. Here is the wide palm-fringed beaches, restaurants and bars along the seafront and opportunities for activities such as water skiing, boating, fishing and diving. Manavagat is a mountain where it is popular to go on rides and in the river that ends in a waterfall Manavagat Waterfalls, there are good opportunities for rafting. There are many historical sights in the area, including a Roman city gate and a public bath which houses the Roman museum.
