Aspen is located in the county of Pitkin County in the state of Colorado, and has about 6000 inhabitants. The city is located 1,800 meters above sea level in the Rocky Mountains, and is known to be one of America’s most popular ski resorts.Aspen is surrounded by mountains and wilderness areas on three sides: Red Mountain in the north, Smuggler Mountain to the east and Aspen Mountain to the south. There are four ski resorts in the area – where everyone has ski lifts and excellent trails. You can also use the site ski and snowboard school, for those who want it.
Aspen was a mining town in the 1880s, and here was the world’s largest silver lump found – in the entire 935 kg.
