Cleveland is located in northeastern United States, and is the second largest city in the state of Ohio.The city, which has 435,000 inhabitants (2008) on Lake Erie, and is both an important port and a railway hub. Cleveland is the administrative center of the county of Cuyahoga County, and parts of the river Cuyahoga River flows through town.

Cleveland has many attractions and the city has both historical, art historical and natural history museum. A major tourist attraction is the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”, which opened its doors in 1995. This Museum of Music with a rock and roll as the main theme, has exciting exhibitions and events.

Many tourists also visit the famous Museum of Art, “Cleveland Museum of Art.” It has an exhibition of such renowned Asian collections, Greek and Roman statues and modern art.

The city’s tallest building – the skyscraper Key Tower – rises 288.6 feet above the ground, and is one of Cleveland’s landmarks. Next door is the Terminal Tower, built in the period 1922 – 1930, and is 216 meters high.

Cleveland is also known for its many golf courses, and for families with children, a visit to the zoo to be recommended.

The nearest airport is Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, located 20 miles southwest of downtown.
