Aosta is located in the province and the region of Valle d’Aosta in the northwest corner of Italy, near the confluence of the rivers Buthier and Dora Baltea. Aosta is located in the Italian Alps and close to the tunnel that goes through the Mont Blanc. It is about 30 km to the Swiss border in the north and about. 50 km to the French border in the west. NOK Matterhorn and Mont Blanc is one of the most famous peaks in the Alps and are easy to reach from Aosta.
Aosta Airport is also called Corrado Gex and is approx. 5 km outside the city center.
