Kingston is the capital and largest city in Jamaica which is located just south of Cuba in Latin America.The capital city is located on the southeastern part of the island, and there is also the country’s main port. The harbor is naturally here is exported commodities such as coffee, sugar and tobacco. Kingston was founded in 1693 after the old town and harbor of Port Royal was flooded and destroyed by the earthquake. In 2001 there were about 96 000 inhabitants in the city.

One can find many interesting attractions in the city, including the Bob Marley Museum, which deals with the world-renowned reggae legend. Hope Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden, founded in 1873, while Castleton Bonatical Gardens from 1862 is located approx. 20 km north of the city. The Olde Jamaica Tours, one can get a thorough introduction to its architecture and museums, and every year held the famous festivals such as Rebel Salute Music Festival and Heritage Fest.

Norman Manley International Airport is located about 15 km from the city on the peninsula Palisadoes.
