Las Vegas has great tourism, and is an important trade center for the region. The city is best known for its many gaming casinos, hotels and wedding chapels. Most famous is “The Strip”, which is part of Las Vegas Boulevard – where casinos, hotels and neon lights dominate.

The world’s largest accommodation – MGM Grand Hotel – located in Las Vegas and has over 5000 rooms on 30 floors. New York-New York is another hotel – where the facade is also a tourist attraction. Small replicas of famous landmarks from New York (includingEmpire State Building and the Statue of Liberty) dominates the building, and in addition there is a huge roller coaster that goes around the hotel complex.

Otherwise, Las Vegas is a city for shopping enthusiasts – with shops and malls.Other attractions include golf courses, botanical garden, aquarium, car museum and the Museum of Natural History.

The city’s largest airport – McCarra International Airport – is located 8 km south of downtown.
