Gyor is located in the northwestern part of Hungary , and is the main town in the district of Gyor-Moson-Sopron.The city has 130,000 inhabitants (2009), and is often called the “river city” – because it is situated where the rivers Raba, Rabac and the Danube meet. Gyor is located near the border with the countries Slovakia and Austria .
