We rented a car at Franfurt Airport through Europcar. The process of getting the car was quick and easy. The price was much lower than booking directly through Europcar.

The rates are similar to that of other websites, however we prefer renting on this website as we can choose which company to hire from ourselves.

It is also administrative center in the district Csongréd.

Szeged has a nice location where the rivers Tisza and Maro flow together, and it is often called “Sunshine City” because of the many sunny days you can experience here. Szeged’s history stretches far back into the Middle Ages, and was first mentioned by its present name in 1183.

Among its many attractions is the beautiful Széchenyi Square in the city with greenery and fountains – and the great hall in the Art Nouveau style. Also Dom square (Cathedral Square) is a popular meeting place. Here is the impressive Votive Church – a basilica with several towers and a rich decor – as well as the Panthéon, where 90 of famous Hungarians are buried. Dom square reminiscent of the famous St. Mark’s Square in Venice, and each summer plays a big theater in the great outdoors here.

One of Szeged’s most famous cultural personalities, the author Ferenc Mora (1879-1934), was for years director of the city’s combined library and museum. It is called so today Mora Ferenc Muzeum, and has since 1899 lived in the fashionable “Folk-Palace”, a monumental edifice in the ancient style.
