Wellington is New Zealand’s capital and second largest city.Wellington is located at the southern tip of the North Eye of Cook Strait. Approx. 178 000 inhabitants live in the city center, approx. 398,000 in the metropolitan area.
Wellington is known for its film and theater industries. The city was founded in 1840 and has been the capital of shutter 1865. The country’s national museum is located here, the Museum of New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the ballet is also located here, so the city is rich in culture.
