We rented a car at Franfurt Airport through Europcar. The process of getting the car was quick and easy. The price was much lower than booking directly through Europcar.

The rates are similar to that of other websites, however we prefer renting on this website as we can choose which company to hire from ourselves.

Stockholm (documented as a city since the 1200’s) is Sweden’s capital and the largest city.It has approx. 1.3 million inhabitants (about 2 million, the suburbs are included). Stockholm’s position on the Swedish east coast – at the end of the Great Lake Mälaren – makes it an important port city.

The archipelago has put his strong stamp on the Stockholm – both because it is beautiful and cover a large area, and because the original town was built on several islands. Waterways and large park areas is still an important feature of Stockholm’s central districts.

Of all of Stockholm’s sights are taken only with a small selection. The original city center – Old Town – located on City Island, is in itself an attraction. Here you will also find Stockholm’s beautiful cathedral, Stockholm Cathedral (first mentioned in 1279) and Stockholm Palace (Swedish king’s official residence, oppføry at the end of the 1600s). And at the nearby Helgeandsholmen is the impressive, 110-year-old Parliament House.

On the peninsula of Djurgården is also one of Stockholm’s most visited attractions. Here is example Vasa Museum with the old, restored orlogsskipet Vasa from 1628 – and Skansen, which both include an outdoor museum and a zoo.

Stockholm has two international airports: The old airport Bromma, now Skavsta ) (9 km west of the city) and the new main airport Arlanda (40 km north of the city, in the direction of Uppsala).
