Jönköping is located in the southeastern part of Sweden, and is the administrative center of Jönköping County.The city represents the northern part of the landscape of Småland. The former independent city Husqvarna is now an urban area in Jönköping.Jönköping Municipality, located at the southern end of Quilted – Sweden’s second largest lake, has 126,100 inhabitants (2009), and in the downtown area is approximately 80,000 inhabitants.
